We automatically collect certain information when you use our service:
- Account creation and update timestamps
- Last activity timestamps
- Email verification status and tokens
- IP addresses (for rate limiting and security)

Waitlist Signup Information
For visitors who sign up on your waitlists, we collect:
- Email address
- IP address
- User agent (browser information)
- Referrer URL

- Signup timestamp

Site Configuration Data
When you create waitlist sites, we store:
- Site name and slug

2. Website Analytics
QueueUp uses Simple Analytics to understand how our platform is used and to improve our service. Simple Analytics is a privacy-first analytics service that respects user privacy.
What Simple Analytics Collects
On our main platform (queueup.dev dashboard and public pages), Simple Analytics automatically collects:
- Unique visits (detected by referrer hostname, not cookies or IP addresses)
- Timestamps for generating usage graphs
- Anonymized user agent information (operating system, device type, browser)
- Country (determined by visitor's time zone, not IP address)
- Language and region settings
- Page URLs (protocol, hostname, pathname only)
- Referrer information (where visitors came from)
- UTM parameters (marketing campaign tracking)
- Device dimensions (browser window and screen sizes)
- Time spent on pages
- Scroll depth in 5% increments
What Simple Analytics Does NOT Collect
Simple Analytics is designed to be privacy-first and does not collect:
- Cookies
- IP addresses
- Personally identifiable information
- Individual user tracking data
Analytics Scope
Simple Analytics tracking is only enabled on:
- QueueUp platform pages (dashboard, templates, public pages)
- Marketing and informational content
Analytics tracking is NOT enabled on:
- User-created waitlist sites
- Email communications
Privacy Features
Simple Analytics respects your privacy through:
- Honoring "Do Not Track" browser settings
- No individual user tracking
- Servers located in the Netherlands
- All data encrypted in transit and at rest
- GDPR compliant data handling
3. How We Use Cookies
QueueUp uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in to your account
- Maintain your session while using the service
- Ensure security through CSRF protection tokens
We only use essential cookies required for the service to function. We do not use tracking cookies or share cookie data with third parties.

We use the collected information solely to:

- Create and manage your waitlist sites
- Send verification and password reset emails
- Process and verify waitlist signups

We DO NOT:

5. Data Storage & Security
Where We Store Data
Your data is stored in:
- PostgreSQL Database: Hosted on Render's secure infrastructure
- Application Servers: Hosted on Render in the United States
Security Measures
We implement the following security measures:
- All passwords are hashed using bcrypt encryption
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- CSRF protection on all forms
- Rate limiting to prevent abuse
- Secure session management with configurable timeouts
- Secure token generation for email verification and password resets
Data Retention
- User Account Data: Retained until you request deletion
- Site Data: Automatically deleted when user account is deleted
- Signup Data: Automatically deleted when associated site is deleted
- Feedback Data: Automatically deleted when user account is deleted
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate QueueUp:

7. Your Rights & Choices
Data Access & Control
You have the right to:
- Update your account information at any time
- Export your signup data as CSV files
- Delete individual signups or bulk delete multiple signups
- Deactivate or delete your sites
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
To request complete account deletion, please contact support@queueup.dev. Account deletion will permanently remove all your data including sites, signups, and feedback.
Email Communications
We only send emails for:
- Account verification
- Password resets
- Waitlist signup verification
- Welcome messages to verified waitlist signups
8. Children's Privacy
QueueUp is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this service or provide any information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
10. International Users
QueueUp is intended for use only within the United States. If you are accessing our service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.
